My child has a peanut allergy. Do you permit peanut products at school?

We have a strict "nut-free environment" policy. We do not serve foods that contain nuts of any kind nor do we permit food from home that contains nuts of any kind. Additionally, families of new students will be asked to complete a confidential Allergy Form in order for the school to ensure that their child does not come in contact with any foods or products that they may have a reaction to.

I work long hours and will need to have my nanny drop off and pick up my child. Will this effect the school being able to communicate with me about events and updates?

Many of our students’ families experience busy schedules with the hustle and bustle of city life. In response to this, our school has developed multiple ways to communicate with parents to ensure that they are always kept in the loop! Our families are provided with weekly reports emailed by their child's teacher every Friday providing them with information about their child's week. Additionally, the school emails a weekly newsletter to parents with pictures of the children engaged in various activities. The school sends out email blasts with pertinent information followed up with a paper form sent home with any urgent or important information. Additionally, the school maintains a Public Facebook page that posts important reminders. A monthly calendar and newsletter are also sent out from the Director of Schools to highlight events that are coming up at the school.

Do you have a school nurse?

We keep our students health and safety at the forefront of everything we do. For this reason, we do employ a school nurse.

I applied and was put on the Waiting List. How does that work?

Waiting Lists run for the entire Academic Year. Should an opening arise, the school will immediately call the first person on the Waiting List. Lists are created on a first come, first served basis. Waiting lists conclude in June. A separate list is created for our summer camp program once all spaces have been filled.
