School Celebrations

World of ABC, The Waldo School takes pride in being a multi-cultural campus and we all have a blast celebrating events that are important to our friends and families. These events vary from awesomely fun dance parties, to holiday themed festivals, to concerts and graduations that celebrate the accomplishments of each of our students. Our holiday festivals include but are not limited to: Classroom Valentine's Day parties, Diwali festival, student birthdays, Hanukah celebration, Kwanza festivities, Halloween costume parade, Friends and Family Thanksgiving Feast, and more. At each of these special events, parents are encouraged to join our school family as we celebrate our cultures and traditions.

In addition to our holiday festivities, our school also participates in two recitals during the year for their parents and loved ones. Our winter recital is held during the December holidays and features each classroom performing holiday songs, dances and poems. Our end-of-the-year recital is held at Liberty Science Center during the month of June, and is an incredibly special event for our students and their families. Students and their teachers work hard on their performances for this concert, and at the end, our PreKindergarten and Kindergarten classes are honored with a special graduation ceremony.

Contests and Competitions

World of ABC, The Waldo School participates in a number of contests and competitions throughout the year in order for students to show their many amazing talents. Check out some of our students awesome accomplishments below!

NASA Langley Research Center Centennial Student Art Contest

We are so proud of one of our Kindergarten students, who received an honorable mention in the NASA Student Art Contest! Each of our Kindergarten - 3rd Grade students in the Waldo School submitted artwork for the contest. Students were asked to use their imagination and knowledge of NASA to create original artwork for the theme "A Storied Legacy, A Soaring Future". Students from around the country submitted artwork. We are so proud of each of our students' submissions!
